What is a High Bay Motion Sensor?

Sensors can be mounted at different heights for achieving perfect detection in any defined area. Normal motion sensors can be mounted at heights of 3 meters. They could also be termed as Low Bay Sensors however a High Bay sensor typically can be mounted at heights of 12 to 15 meters which makes them very unique in terms of their application prowess.

Intrinsically these High Bay Sensors are similar in attributes to a corridor sensor except for the flexibility of mounting them at a ceiling height exceeding 25 feet.

APPLICATION

These high bay sensors in general can be used in very specific areas due to the heights at which they can be mounted. A few applications are Warehouses, Sports Arenas, Machine Shops, Terminal Buildings, Waiting Areas and many more.

Range of Detection

MOUNTING

These sensors can be typically mounted to a 1/2” knockout at the end of a high/low bay lighting fixture. The sensor’s lens should be mounted below the bottom edge of the fixture.
